December Newsletter

Dear Neighbors,

As we wrap up another busy year here in the 17th District, December offers a welcome moment to pause, reflect, and connect with one another. This season reminds us of the strength of our community neighbors looking out for neighbors, families coming together, and local organizations stepping up to support those in need.

I’m grateful for the conversations, ideas, and advocacy you shared with me throughout 2025, and I remain committed to bringing your voices with me to Springfield as we prepare for the work ahead in the new year.

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a healthy, hopeful New Year.

As always, my office is here to help. If you have questions or need support with state services, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 847-486-8810 or info@gonggershowitz.com.

Intergovernmental Blood Drive

On December 11th, my office hosted an intergovernmental Blood Drive with Northfield Township, New Trier Township and the Wilmette Park District. We are thrilled that enough blood was donated to help 75 individuals! All donations stay local so have a direct impact on those in need in our area.  Thank you to all who came out and donated!

On December 13th, my office partnered with the Ismaili Center for a Health Insurance Clinic. Representatives from the Department of Human Services, Get Covered Illinois, Secretary of State, Northfield Township, Senator Laura Fine’s office and Cook County Commissioner Scott Britton’s office were on-site to speak with constituents.
